CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE
Determine room space
The Small PS20W model is compact in size and ideal for a den, one car garage, or a small room. This pellet stove easily heats an up to 800 to 1,200 square foot area and contains an 18-pound hopper capacity.
The PS60W Medium model is designed to heat areas such as a living room, basement, one and a half car garage, or a three-season room. It heats up to 1,500 - 2,200 square foot area and includes a 60-pound hopper capacity.
The Large PS130W model is made specifically for your large family room, cabin, two plus car garage, a small home, or a large home with an open concept floor plan. This model features the largest hopper capacity in the Cleveland Iron Works line with 130 pounds of space. It will cover up to a 2,000 - 3,000 square foot heating area.
The PSBF66W Bayfront model features an extra-large viewing area and is perfect for a large finished basement or a home designed in an open concept. The designed esthetics of this pellet stove make it ideal as feature piece in your home. This pellet stove includes a 65-pound hopper capacity and heats up to 1,800 - 2,500 square feet.

Other considerations to room size
INSULATION
When choosing a pellet stove for your home, one of the factors to consider is your insulation. Homes that have ample insulation may not need as large of a pellet stove compared to those that are poorly insulated. It is safe to consider that a newer home will be better insulated while an older home has a chance to be more poorly insulated.
WINDOWS
The amount of windows and the shape they are in is another factor to consider when sizing your home or room for a pellet stove. If you have a number of windows in the room or area, you may need to increase the size of the pellet stove due to airflow or air gaps.
CEILING HEIGHT
The natural occurrence of heat rising comes into play when choosing your pellet stove. Areas with taller ceilings may need a larger model to compensate for the extra space. One tip to return the heat back to floor level is to install a ceiling fan.
CLEARANCE FOR COMBUSTIBLES
Always factor in the manufacturer recommendations regarding clearance to combustibles stated in the manual. Each pellet stove manual will have a layout of considerations on where to install your pellet stove and the clearances needed for them.
HEATING PAD
Where a suitable and safe floor is not available, a hearth pad is required. A hearth pad is a flat and portable piece of flooring that will protect a combustible floor, such as carpet or wood, from the heat of the wood or pellet stove. The hearth pad is not required when the stove is being used on an existing hearth, such as a fireplace.
